Life of a Savior (Part 1)

Life of a Savior (Part 1)

A Story by Jake Murphy

So where do I begin?

Wherever you think you should start.

Ok, lets see here. Right, ok. When I was sixteen I graduated from my

high school early. I've believe I was bright enough at the time that the

school let me take a test to pass early. My best friend, Robert, I call

him Bobby, took the same test. We both passed of course. We wanted to

help people. We of course couldn't do that in high school. We both

signed up for the Marines to help pay for college. We wanted to be

doctors which we later became. The recruiter said we were to young, I

guess you have to be eighteen to sign up. He made us a deal that they

would pay for college and after our years of college were fineshed we

would be old enough to go to basic. All we had to do was promise to come

back after we were eighteen and fill out papers with him. Bobby and I

were both crazy kids. We excepted.

Were are your parents when this is going on?

My parents died when I was six. I have a brother named Shawn. He is ten

years older than me. He was already a practicing doctor in, I beleive,

his second year of his residentship. So he couldn't take care of me, so

Bobby's parents were gracious enough to let me live with them. Bobby and

I have always been friends since we were born pretty much. We are born

in the same week. Just two days apart, I'm older though. Ha, I always

get him on that.

I'm sorry to cut you short, Dr....Hillard, but.

Please call me Joe.

Ok, Joe, Our time is up for today. Will I see you next week, then, same

time?

Sure thing, Doc. Guess I better go.

Goodbye Joe.

See ya.
