Chapter 2 : The ArrivalA Chapter by Jake Murphy“Sam, Whats the matter?” I asked him. “The Necros just happened to be listening in on your conversation, like I was. They have dispatched two officers to handle this matter.” he explained. “Why would they even care? Don't they have better things to worry about.” I said. “You would think so, but with your prior history with them, they try to keep close tabs on you.” he answered. “Whats going on Dad? Hello Sam.” Celeste said while staring at Sam. “Hello darling, we have a dangerous situation on our hands Celeste. Your Dad made a mistake telling your new mother about us.” Sam told her. “Why is that a mistake? He told me.” she questioned.
answered. “Can't we just say sorry and it won't happen again?” she asked. “Well, I'm a commander for the Necros, and your dad is a retired major in there army, I'm sure we can talk them down” Sam assured her. “What if we can't, Sam, do they have a strike order.” I asked him. “No, their orders are to take you to the Ancients for a hearing.” he answered. “That's just great.” I said while grinding my teeth together. “What is it dad, you look worried?” Celeste asked. “Well the Ancients don't really care for me anymore since I retired.” I said.
“That's a great idea” Sam said reading her mind before she could say the idea. “Well, share with the rest the class who doesn't read peoples without asking.” I said glaring at Sam. “Call Uncle Dameon, he'll help us out, at least for protection.” she said. “He would indeed be an asset in this situation, but I'm worried about Mikaela getting hurt if he comes near her.” I stated. “Mom will be fine” Celeste assured me. while she came down stares and walked into the living room where we were talking. “Hello, Kaela.” Sam nodded while greeting her. “Whats going on? Whats got everyone in an uproar?” She asked. “Honey, Please sit down.” I offered her. “Oh, no what know?” she asked. “Um, you know how I told you about us and what we are. Well the rulers of the neutral balance of the world are a society called the Necros. See there are good forces and evil forces and they have their own rules and then theirs the the Necros. I unfortunately am ruled by the Necros. I broke one of their rules today by telling you what we are and they sent two officers to bring me to the Ancients, which rule the Necros, for a hearing.” I explained. “So this is my fault.” she yelled. “No, not at all” I tried to assure her. “Yes it is, if I didn't make you tell me, none of this would be happening.” she yelled back. “Calm down mom, it will be fine” Celeste said while rubbing Mikaela's back. “There here” Sam said interrupting us. Knock! Knock! Knock! How can those three sounds send chills down my back? I suppose it's because of what made the sound. The three knocks where the sound of two highly powerful Necros knocking at my door. They are here to bring me back to their leaders, the Ancients. The Ancients will then lock me into a place where i can't escape. They will wait until I'm drained of strength and they will kill me. Before this happens they will kill my family. Mikaela the love of my life, my future wife, the adoptive mother of my child. Celeste my one and only daughter. Sam my best friend since we were born. Maybe even Sam and I brother's Dameon and Hunter. I see all this clearly now. I see the future. Now I must change it, but I have to get help first. "Dameon! Hunter! I know you can hear me. Come here at once. I need your help." I said out loud. "Dad, their not here" Celeste said. "Your dad is talking to them using his telepathy powers" Sam corrected her. Dameon and Hunter both teleported in front of me ablaze in flames as usual. “Hello, dear brother, you have some nerve trying to us around.” Dameon said with a sly temper in his voice. “I have no time to argue here. There are two Necros outside that door and there here to take me away and kill your niece and soon to be sister-in-law.” I told him. “Ha, I could care less about the human, but there is noway they touch my precious little girl.” he said while smiling at Celeste. “Aw, thanks Uncle Dee.” Celeste said. “Hunter, lets show these mongrels what a real demons can do.” he said while he turned into his demon form. “Right, Sure thing bro.” Hunter said while he also turned into his demon form.
differences are our eyes turn all black, our teeth grow into more or less fangs, and our muscles get more toned. Appearance chances our small compared to our power level. When a demon transforms his power goes up tremendously. We are extremely more powerful as our true identity. Dameon runs through the door knocking it down and startling the two Necros. Meanwhile Hunter flames, that is how Dameon and Hunter teleport, behind the now scared Necros. around six-foot-five and have humongous muscles. “Hello, it seems you have a problem with my brother, Sential? Dameon asks the smaller Necro on the left. “He has broken a rule and we have been sent..” Sential started to say before being cut off my Hunter. “Yeah, Yeah, we know. Dameon and I are not going to let you two in to see him. So I suggest you leave or you will get hurt.” he said while he is flexing his muscles with his arms crossed. “We don't want any trouble from you gentlemen. We just want to talk to Alex. Please excuse us.” The taller of the two Necros said. “Better turn around Jackson. We mean it you will get hurt.” Dameon ordered them. “We'll be back. Lets go Sential.” Jackson stated as they both glided away. “We'll be waiting, beasts.” Dameon said after they were already gone. Dameon and Hunter were already back into human form when they walked back through the doorway. I put my hand on the door frame and magically put the door back together. “Thanks guys for the help.” I told them as we all sat on the couch. “Yes and with reinforcements.” Sam answered. “How many?” I asked Sam. “I can't hear to much chatter. Why don't you try? Your better at this than I am.” He answered with his fingers on his temples trying to concentrate. “I'll try” I said. Whispers. That's all I can hear. Dozens of people talking at once. I can't pinpoint one voice. I's utter chaos. Wait, I hear Jackson. about what happened and the Ancients aren't happy.” I told the small gathering in front of me. I continue to try to listen. I hear someone else coming in clearly. It's Sential. Damn. “Damn it, Sential suggested they send the guard after us. The Ancients agreed and dispatched them. They will all be here within a week.” I told them what I heard. “Why so long?” Celeste asked. “Well, kiddo, There are a hundred guard members stretched all over the world. It takes time to call all of them, tell them the situation, figure out a battle plan, and then finally attack.” Dameon answered. “Should I be worried, Uncle Dee?” Celeste asked. “I'm not, but I usally don't get worried. Ask your father if you should” he said looking my way. “Dad?” Celeste glared my way. “Honey, Dameon, Hunter, Sam, and I will not let Mikaela and You to get hurt. Don't you dare worry. Both of you need to go up stairs so the rest of us can concentrate on a plan.” I assured her. Celeste and Mikaela got up and went upstairs without saying a word. “No we are not. I am. I will not let any of you get hurt. I should have been more careful. I'll deal with this power, hungry fools alone.” I told them looking at all of them with authority in my eyes. “Not a chance in hell.” Dameon responded. I did not expect Dameon to be the one to say that. We have never been a very close family, him being a leader of a clan that hunts and kills humans, and be being well semi-neutral. I half exepected Sam to be the one to stand up and pledge his alledgense to fall in battle with me. I looked at Sam now. He was looking down at the ground, deep in thought or maybe using telepathy. I look back at Dameon, my oh so big brother. “Dameon, listen, you don't have to die with me. You didn't do anything wrong.” I told him. “Ha, you think I'm doing this for you. Funny thing is I should be if we were a normal family but not a chance. I'm doing this for the only person I care about and is that little girl upstairs.” He explained. much all of sudden? Yes, I read your mind, and I still am. Why her and Why Now?” Sam said standing up and moving slowly towards Dameon with an angry look on his face. “Stay out of my mind, Samuel, I'm warning you. Keep doing it and I will rip your head off and hand it over to the Necros right now. As for Celeste I...” Dameon was saying before Sam ran towards at a speed undetectable by any radar gun. A battle is about to begin. Not with the Necros, at the moment, but between my brother and best friend. Who would win I ask myself. To close to call. Dameon has a size and strength advantage. Sam has speed and telepathy. I have to stop this. Only milliseconds have passed since Sam zipped from his position towards Dameon's defensive stance. I quickly glide in between them. I am much faster than both combined. I stick both my arms out, one towards each of them. With my head down, I release a telekinetic blast towards both of them. Sam was on my right, the blast sent him through the living room wall and flying into the kitchen. Dameon on my left, went flying through the living room wall and outside about a hundred feet. I centered myself and took a deep breath. I haven't used that much magic in quit awhile. demon form. I don't remember the last time I entered demon form. I feel free cause I'm not holding back anymore. I can't hold back anymore, if I'm going to save my family from the approaching doom headed our way. to stay put she will be right back. The two demons I sent launching in opposite directions are getting up and heading my way but not aggressive but cautious, both have not seen me like this in a long time. “What's going on, Dad?” Celeste said while rushing down stairs. “Just a difference in opinions between your uncle and Sam and I had to interfere.” I answered while looking away from her. I didn't want her to see me like this. I don't want her to see her father, while he is not under control. “Well, well, my brother finally awakes. How long has it been, Alex? What sixty, seventy years since I've seen you change over. Marvelous really. Your so powerful, It's about time you used your gifts.” Dameon said while coming through the hole in the house. He was brushing his clothes off of dirt when Sam returned into the living room. “Marvelous indeed, Alex. It's not to often I agree with your dim witted brother, but in this case he's right. Your going to need to loosen up those strings of control if we are going to survive the Necros attack.” Sam told me. “What happened? Why did you attack them, Dad? What did they do and why aren't you looking at me?” Celeste said barraging me with questions. the moment idea. A rage I should have been able to control if I was your father, but that I am not. Your dad intervened to stop us from hurting each other. Finally, your dad is not looking at you because he is in demon form. Why he still is I don't know. Maybe the shock of using so much power all of a sudden. Whomever knows. He doesn't want you to see him as a monster and that's all he want me to say.” Sam answered, part from reading my mind. “Oh, dad, be reel. You'll never be a monster to me. I see Uncle Dee and Hunter turn all the time. Occasionally I see Sam turn when we are alone upstairs...” Celeste started saying. “Not the time or the place, Celeste. Great now you done it. I'm sorry...” Sam was saying before I cut him off. “What was that, young lady.” I stared at her, demon form and all the rage in my all black eyes. “You and Sam have been together. Together in my house.” The rage is to much. I start to walk towards Sam now. “Ha, Sam you better get before he rips your head off. He'll cool down eventually. At least I think.” Hunter warned Sam. Sam glided out. I glide away. I'm not going after Sam. I appear in a forest somewhere in South America. I just picked a quiet place and teleported not caring where. I need to calm down. I need to get control before I go back. I love my family, Sam, included. We will discuss this relationship, between, Sam and my daughter. Not now but later. After the battle for out lives. If we all fight. We will all survive. I guarantee it. © 2009 Jake Murphy |
