Friend

A poem about the love of a friendship.

Beautiful, funny, important, independent.

My friend, this is how you make me feel every time I am around you.

Free, loved, unjudged, and pure

My friend, there's more to this list that I cannot identify

Happy , an important one nonetheless

My friend, I smile like a fool

because every time we are together it feels like a fest

My friend,  you hug and caress me

Flip my hair and we  joke around

 we laugh and I fill with glee

My friend, you make me smile when I'm feeling down

Friendship, trusting, always there

My friend, this is what you mean to me and I hope you know I care

Open, honest, not afraid to be a fool

My friend, this is how I am with you, and I think it's pretty cool

only a few short months since we met, you and I

and it feels like we've been great friends since the beginning of time

May this friendship last a lifetime

or until we each go our separate ways

though I hope you will not forget,

our adventures throughout these memorable days.
