RecluseA Poem by munkiC munkiDUA life isolated.
If I find myself at home Bored, lonely and alone, I’d reconsider who I’ve known, Through TV, text and telephone. Sat in silence, I’d conceal My thought, that no one else is real And worry, as I’d start to feel my life is far from the ideal. I’d pry my soul from flesh and cloth And feel the soothing air, it’s soft Whisper to me carried off, by all the things I’d daydream of. Free at last of my constraints, Without the binding thought restraints, I’d take time out to reacquaint Myself with what I am, (or ain’t). And pointlessly, I’d try to find The reasons why I’m so inclined to live my life inside the mind, leaving my body far behind. I hate to find myself at home In the silence, and alone Without the company I’ve known, Through TV, text and telephone. © 2010 munkiC munkiDUFeatured Review
