Gone

Gone

A Poem by M.K. JOSEPH

It was bound to end in tears
For nothing he did brought her cheers
It was the jumping the gun,
That had really dimmed the sun
For while lavender filled the air
And the sunrays bounced off the strands of her hair...
While the birds chirped melodious song
Of two whose hearts were entwined so strong
It was she...
he truly adored
But the sun shone no more
And the birds slept in a snore
He was gone as fast as he had come
All she could do was despair of what had become
Of their love brewed in fear
That had now ended in a tear.
