FATE

FATE

A Poem by M.K. JOSEPH

From whence the voices begun calling.
Times has never ceased passing.
Like a church choir religiously humming.
Summoning the mind and the soul to join in.
Soon, I say when my name they call.
Beckoning me to inch closer as they have before.
Soon, I echo back and I feel time move faster.
And the chanting gets louder.
Incongruous to the mood of the world below them .
One by one those who heed the call exit.
Leaving a void from where they come from.
A dark cloud of panic and anguish lurking in the air.
And as the voices get louder, despair fills the earth
Innumerable eyes open and the reality becomes vivid.
Of the impending destiny of everyone of us.
That one day they will call your name
And it will be time
Sooner than we thought..
Time to also take a bow and exit.
