Faded

Faded

A Poem by M.K. JOSEPH

Life shall surely not go on, normal
If hope in our hearts we lack at all
If feelings in our souls we suppress
And thoughts of good deeds we depress
Yet I have done all these three
My soul, heart and mind weeps for thee
I've been wounded once or twice before
I wish not to repeat the same for you I adore
For am a lover and where true love thrive
There I wish to live
Though I've found none yet
With whom my whole I would bet
My fairest of all! I wish to stray
For the journey might get unbearable if I stay
Because once my hope with you shone like midday sun
And my desire for you burned with aggression of shots from a gun
But now all is left is an illusion of a dying heavenly body
Bright...and visible... yet no intensity
