Woebegone Traveler.

Woebegone Traveler.

A Poem by M.K. JOSEPH

Love comes and go.
Like sandstorm in the desert.
Memories we remain to cherish.
Some we wish we couldn't remember
Because of friends we chose to trust than others.
And traded our hearts blindly.

I've been played and hurt.
Stumbled on like a wilted rose.
That was once fresh and calling.
The cynosure of my peers.
But i stand still.
And remain strong for the days I've left.

I know love is somewhere near.
Waiting patiently.
And today i start this journey.
in search of my happiness.
I'll return again.
Happier than before, when i find her.
