TAKE A STEP.

TAKE A STEP.

A Poem by M.K. JOSEPH
"

Too all out there, living on the edge...the reason you aint in prison because you've been given another chance. But luck never lasts, take a step brother.

"

your skin as rough as a rock

a grin so cold than ice

your face so fierce it could kill

and temper as hot as hell

friend be calm

nothing you gain through bullying

like a hungry lion you roam

in the streets corners you roar

scaring to death the defenseless

with a knife to their throats you rob

death will find you too

unexpectedly if you don’t change

strength you got of a warrior

authority like a king

and power as a politician

only if you used it wisely

and protect those you kill

take a step brother

for I know what it feels like

to be jobless

I too was once there

And trust me, I know too what it is like here

Hell than there

Please don’t join me you too

Here, behind  bars of torture.
