An actress /dancer?

An actress /dancer?

A Poem by Mufaro Kudakwashe Joseph Mangono
"

Trying to understand a person is hard...:-)

"

Audience is silenced

By how she swerves her body

And she does it without violence

As she moves from corner to corner

With both pride and dignity

Respectively pausing diplomatically

Speaking softly as it should be

Something not hard to see

But is she an actress?

Is she really an actress?

Audience clapping here and then

Watching as she stands on her toes

Then as she is joined by her dream

She starts spinning

Going round and round

Smiling in all directions

An acrobat by nature

Definitely someone mature

But is she a dancer

Is she really a dancer?

Friends call her naïve

Enemies call her beautiful

Easily frightened by a whisper

But stable to pain

Now that it pours:

Does she act in the rain?

Does she dance in the rain?

Does she pretend in the rain?

Does she love in the rain?

Oh mind stop asking....
Just clap for the grand performance.
