Gone

Gone

A Poem by Samantha M. Tusspot

this is just a trivial thing
though in my mind, of the utmost importance
as seasons changed then so did we
i dream someday i will wake beside you
and Venus herself will surely smile
but waking from such sick delusions i weep
and find that what i've longed for is a hopeless fallacy
with the warmth of summer you were gone.
