Heroin

Heroin

A Poem by Samantha M. Tusspot
"

You're my Kurt and I'm your Courtney. . .

"
You're my Kurt and I'm your C O U R T N E Y
It's been 3 days since our last trip
God the ride was so good, I Stare at you
With cancer eyes & say, "Let's have another go."

The ride was s****y, your stomach hurts
You feel like puking and I want sex
Your hair is flaxen, I kiss the crown
And say, "We'll live through this somehow."

The trip was good, you're smiling
God you're so beautiful, a Saintlike smile
With Devil's eyes. You Stare at me & say,
"Some people aren't lucky like us."

The ride was s****y again.
I'm tired, the baby won't stop c r y i n g
You Stare at me with sunken eyes & say,
"Your box is suffocating me."

It's been one month since our last trip
I've got your gun in my hands.
I've wept till my stomach is (burning)
I Stare at you with tear filled eyes & say,
"I'm sorry. I was the lucky one."

You're my K U R T and I'm your Courtney
It's been twelve years since my last trip
The baby's grown & so am I
I Stare at her with dumbstruck eyes & cannot say
a word
She looks just like you,
without the gun.
