A Poem by Samantha M. Tusspot
"

Memories of unanswered prayers in past years came to me and reminded me why I am an atheist today.

"
I whispered my hopes
Seeking solace, to dead air
And a stern, mute God.

Wow. It's so short, yet it speaks so loudly and clearly. I, too, am an athiest. I understand where you're coming from (maybe not through the same reasons why we have the same religion). This is an epic piece. It's deep. Although it's short, the tone really slows the flow down so that it seems that much longer. Great job.
