Winter is GoneA Poem by Melody TelleriaPuddles of heavens tears mirror my reflection under liquid fire sunshine, the air still crisp and colors dancing in the pools renewing the starving earth speckled with zesty wildflowers. from the somber shade of anxiety that drained my rapture and instilled hopelessness every passing hour. passed through the ages to enlightened few willing to believe in the impossible. The ancestry in the stars beam with crystalline clarity as I dance fearlessly through spiked walls of narrow minds that attack like arrows poisoned and flammable. when suppression and gloom combat my wings of freedom, so delicate and held together with fragility of heart on the verge of being set aflame in regret. before I'm sucked into my personal black hole, and whispering winds carry me through emerald trees that frame the nights lunette. and gorge on anger and greed. The sickening realization of my participation in this historical catastrophe. of organized religion and corruption of authority, society's new creed. Sweet butterfly kisses of awareness tease me back from all the blasphemy. I fly and make my home above the clouds, just for a while, until the sky cries and the stars regain their glory. sunless days are cast aside like velvet drapes swished away by a magician, and we can strive to rewrite our life's story. © 2013 Melody TelleriaReviews
