In the Dawn of the DayA Poem by Melody TelleriaOur relationship with Mother Earth and the course of how we exist daily.
In the dawn of the day when the silence of morning arises and swiftly pulls off the blanket of night that covered all of yesterdays sorrows, mistakes, and sorrowful plights.
And the pretty dew drops of early showers left behind leave trails of tears, the sadness of earth seeping into the world, a downpour of emotions that drench all life forms in a power unfurled.
It's then the air is crisp and and sharply tuned, playing a song of merciful beginning and renewal, forgiving us our ignorance and repairing as much as can be from what we've ruined.
How beautiful, that pardoning so undeserved, we children of Mother Earth; so stately in evergreens that loom over lands, she thirsts for rain that will cleanse and purify her body so defiled and tainted with contraband.
The hands that till her soil, caress her blossoms, imprint soft bodies into the earth when lost in passionate embrace, these same hands strike pain, destroy fragility of being through writings for gain, and wipe tears of desolation away as they hold life in their sway.
Shame and fame tinged with the course of wind that circles the world, and we breathe it in, basking in each others moments.
We live in a labyrinth with no entrance or end, a maze of twists and turns that we were born into with no say. A bittersweet existence, living in No Man's Land, and at the apex of all, we are on constant display.
