Let me In

Let me In

A Poem by Melody Telleria

Let me in the passageways

that weave through your mind.

Opening doors of precious complexity

so purely unrefined and misunderstood

by human kind.

Blend your obscure and provoking

thought process with the emerging

philosophy i'm struggling to find.

Meet me on our own plane of existence,

where we can warp time to our advantage

and create our version of nirvana,

a splendidly twisted paradise of our own

pages of regulations.

What I fervently seek is a place

where condemnation fades away into oblivion

and we are stripped away of self-restrictions,

left shivering, naked, and alive in the discovery

of what it means to never be confined.

In your thoughts I read the novel upon your heart

and strive to learn how to control these urges

to dig and chip away at the endless,

paperthin layers of our soul.

How often do we have the chance

to truly say that we are intimate with

who a person really is and how the pendulum

of their fragile and soon-to-be extinct mind sways.
