An Ant is like a Six Legged Man --

a communal creature of habit,

residing within a colony's habitat,

an anthill's state or nation.

An underground continent,

beneath the land, replete,

with a royal queen to serve,

as both worker and warrior,

grubbing for sustenance.

Dying upon battlefields,

for queen and anthill's country,

freedom's elusive dream of liberty,

to freely forage and fend for colony,

to protect that down-under called home.

I wonder: Do ants rise from the dead?

Is there an ant heaven, an ant hell,

an ant afterlife of forever's eternity?

Will long dead ants, ever live again?
