To seek after truth in a mad-hatter of a world,

reduces oneself to a dog chasing after its tail,

truth always just out of reach, missed by a tad,

only thought to be caught in thrills of a chase,

in the moments of being grasped it slips away,

vaporizing, as something chased, but never had,

to continue the chase as if there were any hope,

as a dog is not ashamed of chasing tail games,

never ever really expecting to catch its own tail,

unlike humans who really expect to catch

that fleeting wind revealed as truth ...

AUTHOR'S THOUGHTS OF QUIET CONTEMPLATION: Truth is often manifested as that elusive illusion of that which we so fervently seek to possess, as though the mere possession of truth endows us with some assertive essence of superiority over others (via those variously versatile mechanisms of wealth, education, intellect, class, race, sex, religion, culture, ideology, or simply the implementation of right of might) whom we believe (in demonstrating that darker side of our, all too human, human nature), are lacking in that truth we have come to deem as essential to alignment within acceptance of our standardized concepts of right and wrong, good and evil, just and unjust, blind and having arrived at sight of correctly, assessed perception of reality within reality of that existence which is ours (or so we think) within all Existence. And yet, we daily confess to the pervasive existence of the shifting sands of time, in foolish assumption that truth does not, also, (beyond our utmost attempt at comprehension) adjust to each fleeting breeze and every passing storm. Truth may not be relative, but it is often revealed as not constant or, else, the world remains flat and never round " a profound reality set to page by wisdom's sage not lost to having plunged over that world's edge of what was, once, truth possessed and now abandoned …
