Where are you hope?

Hope has left town,

packed up and gone,

hiding in the winds

that carry hope away

to the hopeless land

of hopelessness.

Darkness now lights

my heart's chambers,

lonely rooms mine,

vacant to love's joy,

drowning in a friend,

one so dear, so near,

Sweetest Melanie …
