I could easily write poetry, with elusive illusions allusions of imagery,

I could play the word game, and fill heads with that proper symmetry,

I could write sweet nothings, flitted in the air, as Hors d'oeuvres of rapture,

I could write about a lot of things, in saying nothing, from here to ever-after.

I could be game to entertain small minds, seeking solace,

I could speak sheer gibberish, and no one would notice,

I could speak a lot s**t, that don't mean diddly squat,

but, then, I would be somebody I ain't -- and, exactly, what I'm not …

Some write poetry more for the sake of form without forming the actual emotion poems need to contain.
They impress us with style, but not with the sentiment...because it is often missing.
