'Till That Day I Return To Earth

This poem is dedicated to the memory of those whom I have loved and lost in this life …
No matter the course or length of my journey, no matter the effort set forth to living rightly, enjoying pleasures that paste to face a smile, no matter the pain suffered in a life beguiled, happily I leave this place strapped to gurney,
for such trek shall never find itself complete, oblivious to galaxies distant in endless time, wandering worlds light years from my home, as an alien exploring alien worlds unknown, a guest uninvited arriving less than discrete ...
Do you wish to know the stark reality of it all!
The dreams of men are but vaporous thought, neuronic expressions of our own discontent, in wishing, wanting, for that something more, turning knobs on each and every single door, to never comprehend that it is all for naught!
Death shall swallow my life like a black hole -- all that I have endeavored to be shall cease, (dreams and aspirations coming to their end) -- as the grave opens its mouth to coldly extend an offer of rest assimilation of soul1 to cajole,
and all I have been from my moment of birth grinds to a halt in a final breath of my death, to leave me hope that eternal life just might be found within loved one's tear stained sight of memories treasured that will not be birthed, in eternal night, 'till that day I return to earth …
The foolishness of men seeking after the stars!
We are clueless to the stars that lie among us, until they are gone and we see them no more. Eternal life does not lie just beyond the grave. It resides in a heart's resolve to never forget. It flourishes in quiet pools of fond memories, of loved ones who'll always be remembered ...
(Written July 19th, 2016) Author's Addendum Note To: 'Till I Return To Earth:
This somewhat mysterious & misleading piece is my personal attempt to confront that (foolishly) hoped for reality within that realm of venturing beyond this life to what is blindly " (via Blind " No Eyes Of Personally Experienced & Accurately Assessed " Faith assumed & presumed, unprovable, ever [as in forever in relation to our individual logic based ability to pinpoint & concretely evidence as validated evidence presented] unsubstantiated, undeniably indelible, always unwitnessed but fervently proclaimed, & [in any living Human Being's capacity to ascertain shall always remain so as a pipe-dream that is totally] " undemonstrable belief of most all Humanity (especially those fool's fodder fed fools of Organized Religion) that there is, some f*****g how there must be, an Afterlife of some sort that is, if for lack of any other contrivance's imagination of belief, at least based upon a flickering spirit's essence of vaporous existence, if nothing more, and all this f*****g a*s Human p***y a*s minded thinking in order to avoid and sidestep the brutally frank and candid reality that when we die (and we damn sure do die, we do die, we do die, when we die) all we were (personality, experiences, education, thoughts & dreams) ceases to exist, as in ground zero of a zero's zilch of nada no more of any where" except (if we be lucky or infamously famous) within the hearts and minds of those who loved us (or hated us) who refuse to allow their memories of us (as who and what we are and were) die … And that, my friend is the only provable form of Afterlife's Eternal Life that can be proven to exist … For without Evidence that is evident, our hearts and minds reside within pools of that which fools profess, and can never say that they shall return from any grave to share with you and I. Until I Return To Earth, such beliefs shall always and forever remain a bold faced Organized Religion's LIE! ... Marvin Thomas Cox-Flynn de Graham 1Soul"Literally: To be a living, breathing, being. Thus, to lose one's soul is to lose one's life and cease to exist among the living … https://adventistbiblicalresearch.org/materials/theology-state-dead/meaning-word-soul-bible © 2022 Marvin Thomas Cox-Flynn de GrahamReviews
