Seven Unleavened

Seven Unleavened

A Poem by Ducky-Orangecat

Of Men & their Monsters,

So doth the Vampire Lurks at night.

Out of cigarettes is the way to…

Meet Korpsie the Clown tonight.

Shaker Road is haunted you know,

Indian burial ground surrounds

Beware where we step

Once we’re down to clown.

Witches, ghouls, & freaks out at night

Creatures of the deep, will surely fright.

These Fiends go out, up for a fight; trudging

Feeding on Nicotine, earth’s plant-based delight.

I’ll take the cheapest sticks,

& bum one from Korpsie too;

Proud child of Satan, he stands in dim hue.

Can I trust his poison, forsaken?

As we walk, night grows still

Unchanging ‘till morning

& got what was sought.

We made it, or not, only time will foretell

If the curse of Shaker Road

has become put to spell.

In the shadows are moans, groans,

& woodland creatures tonight.

But we have no fear, let love be our light.
