Cold

Cold

Cold

A feeling of chills,
but  not literally cold.
Knowing all to well how it feels,
the feeling quite bold.

Off and often secluding,
not real peace but mere silence.
A scene that is quite eluding,
to the inner chaos and violence.

Swirls of different thoughts,
but only one who can see.
A view of where the soul rots,
an inner view of thee.

Time being a key reason,
for how this has evolved.
But to tell would be treason
because the lies are too involved.

Underneath is is very dark,
only insight is through the eyes.
The eyes are a simple spark
but the spark reveals truth to the lies.

To see isn't that tough
but to understand you'd have to truly look.
The core is very rough
but the eyes are an open book.

To read takes time
her you'd need to know.
A heart filled with grime
and needing a place to go.

The girl is so eager to please
simply needing to be understood
needing any sort of ease
yet this is what we label cold.
