What is love anyway

it is what it is

Love seems to be a never ending heartache

Every time I turn around its hidden.

Every day I am introduced to a new pain.

And what I want seems forbidden.

 

Love is so confusing

 not patient nor unkind

It will knock you off your feet

But it seems we don’t mind.

 

Love is supposedly so beautiful

And full of what’s right.

Than why must I cry for him

Or choose to give up or fight?

 

Love is supposed to be safe

And comforting for all

Could I possibly not love him

I wonder as I fall

 

Love seems so far away

I wonder if its right for me

Maybe im not meant to love

Maybe we aren’t meant to be

 

Love seems to just cause pain

But still be worth the fight

I want to hold on

But maybe just maybe their not right

 

Love is supposed to be this

its supposed to be that they say

is it possible there is much more

I could rant for hours and hours wrapping every word I can come up with around love some how, but in the end a rant is still all it would be. Not a description, not a promise, not any thing worth reading, just a rant. This poem reminds me of all the nights people spend trying to find a way to describe love.. myself included.

Love is actually all those things when one finds true love. The issue we often confuse love with many many other things. A good way is to judge how you love yourself. If you truly care and love for you, then if anyone else treats you less than that you will know they don't have enough love for you. Never settle for less than that and you should have a great relationship with love.
