I hope for her

I hope for her

A Poem by SarahCortland
"

knowing its time

"

I see you now

and anger fills me

i look away

before it blinds what i see.

Yelling wouldnt change it

or fix anything at all.

In the end you'll still walk away

and then i will fall.

I watch as you walk away

and memories swarm near

you held me like that

i had nothing to fear

I thought there was love

I didnt know it wasnt true

That seemed almost impossible

but its obvious we're through

shes so unaware

she probably doesnt even know

how you loved me like that

then one day let go

I know now im not angry

but that doesnt mean theres no pain

I have to let you be happy

even if it makes me insane.

I hope she has better luck

i hope she brings happiness to you

i hope you can love her like that

and i pray for her its true

such pain, letting go is hard to do, you have captured that. This is a great piece, straight from the heart, thank you for sharing.

Very honest and sincere.
You've captured the experience of life in your words.
