I though id let you know

an issue i was having with my best friend

i used to call you
with even one thing to say
now i dont say a word
and each day is a silent day

for neither of us try
the space continues to grow
neither of us seeming to care
but i thought id let you know

friends are meant to be there then leave
best friends are meant to remain
people leave us heart broken
but they try to keep us sane

sorry never seems to be enough
ill try is a broken past
somehow we are still friends
but i fear like this we wont last.

we were more like sisters
so wild yet tame

there were no secrets
now theres alot you dont know
you tell me little to nothing

Written from the heart, it's worse wen you can see whats happening and how you could have done something to mend the friendship but know its too late because you never dared to try. When I was in highschool my best friend of four years (I lived with her family when I was in grade seven and we were closer than anything) started drifting apart but now, five years later I contacted herone day and now were sure not best friends but we get together now and then and always have a blast like nothing had ever happened. You never know, life has a funny way of working out.
Anyway, nice poem, the repitition of the two stanzas makes it feel like the chorus in a song
