Look deeper what I'm not doesn't matter

The outside of a person doesn't tell you everything

 

I may not be perfect

I may not be sane

I may not have everything

but to what does this pertain?

I am only seventeen

I am only in tenth grade.

I am only a girl

but who am I trying to persuade

I don't see my father

I hate my older brother

I've had a dark past

but I've loved another

I may not be perfect

I may not be sane

I may not have everything

but to you this shouldn't pertain

I am smarter than most

I am talented in ways

I can sing a good tune

but none of this pays

for you don't see whats inside

you see only the out

if you'd only look deeper

you'd see more without a doubt
