What I wanted and all I needed

Poem of love and past

I walked down the road scared and alone,

I wanted to call for help but you wouldn't answer the phone.

I needed you to tell me everything was okay.

I knew that wouldn't happen for you had nothing to say.

I wanted to go back to the night in your arms.

Though the memory only set of my pain like alarms.

I wanted you to call me but I knew you wouldn't,

you've made thousands of excuses of why you couldn't.

I wanted to hold on but i knew i should let go.

I wanted you to understand, it was stupid I know.

I wanted things to go back to the way they were,

though I realized they weren't any better and were now a blur.

I wanted you to come back, to realize, to see,

but most of all I needed your help, I needed you to love me.
