She woke up
early. Like any other day. Had breakfast, showered, put on her clothes,make-up
and walked out the door. Like any other day. Only this day she didn't end up
going to work. She simply couldn't bring herself to get there. Instead, she took
a taxi to the airport, checked in the first flight available. No luggage,no
past. Only the future in a new city, somewhere in the world. Anywhere in the
world.
So,it was true, after all. There was nothing to
hold you back but yourself. She looked out the window of the plane and smiled. Unlike
any other day.
Wow, I enjoyed this. Nothing stopping us to escape the rat race, expect money and lots of it. LOL and to do what we truly want to do, that would make us smile. T
So that's where you went. I've been searching everywhere for you. I went to your sisters house, brothers, mother's, uncles, your best friend Rachel's, I even reported you missing down at the local police station. All they asked was, " is she pretty" which I thought strange.
I told them you were beautiful, kind ,funny, had the soul of an angel and a body to die for.
The desk sergeant said " wait there sir"
He came back and said, "look, this is why she left you"...he was holding up a mirror

To me, this is the ultimate fantasy. I can’t imagine anyone not having this fantasy at least once in a lifetime, if not daily! Some people love to hop on a plane & go somewhere totally different, while others may choose to do a road trip with a car full of furry friends. Whatever the details might be, it’s a powerful escape fantasy & I recommend doing this at least once in a lifetime (I did it a few times in my youth & now that I’m old & disabled, I’m so glad I climbed those mountains & went on those adventures!) Great vignette that tells a thousand individual tales (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Great idea and well written. I suppose we all daydream but how many of us do it. I suppose at some stage we get commitments and this doesn't seem so easy. Of course, most of us are too scared - we need structure and a sense of security.
We can always dream!

Thank you for the uplifting review! It put a smile on my face!
I wish I could do this, but sadly I have stuff I need to do. I wish I could up and leave but that seems too risky and irresponsible for me. For anyone who can, I extol them. I enjoyed reading this, good job!
A brave lady in the story. To walk-away. Fly to unknown place and begin anew. I did this three times in my lifetime. Thank you Ms Pargon for sharing the amazing and hopeful tale.
