GraceA Poem by Nicole Clarice Anna WiestTomorrow is a day of grace We cannot come to We will not face But in this life Of dreams un-weaved We will not see What’s not perceived We sore above The mountain tops In hopes of dreams And fear And loss We leave our minds Upon the shelf And open up Within ourselves We look beyond Our closest vision And try our best To find our mission To help To hope To love To care To do what no one else Would dare To let it go And let it be All we want is To be free From hypocrisy Democracy And politically divine intervention Technology That lets us live Beyond the years That god has given Us from the day We were born To not of life being torn From your nimble grasp I see You will not recover Will not be free To live a life Your parents dreamed You’ll hurt so bad But cannot scream So you turn to Intoxication But find instead it’s Suffocation You cannot breath The pain is worse You must accept Life is a curse To not be broken On this day You may never know Where you will lay At the end of the night Morning Day Believe in this But to decay Six feet into the ground You lay A buffet for insects They’ll seize the day And once you’re gone You’ll be forgotten In too few years Your misbegotten Children will say Goodbye beloved But tomorrow is Another day Of grace. © 2010 Nicole Clarice Anna WiestReviews
