Obtaining a New Set of EyesA Poem by Nicole Clarice Anna Wiest
Can you remember a time when you looked at a tree, through the leaves, between the branches, only to see the sky?
Bypassing all things tangible to search for another view.
Experiencing something so majestic that you cannot believe your eyes.
Driven through the city but instead of looking at the road ahead of you, you look up.
Notice the architecture of this world. Notice how the city kisses the sky. Look at your surroundings in such a way that you can no longer recognize them. Things you have seen a thousand times become new.
Change your view and wonder if anyone has ever seen the world this way; through altered eyes. © 2008 Nicole Clarice Anna WiestAuthor's Note
