P.S. I Heart You

P.S. I Heart You

A Poem by Nicole Clarice Anna Wiest

With every breath.

Every seemingly effortless movement

of myself,

I concentrate.

I meditate.

Use the forces of my mind

to say those words,

"I Heartchew"

Together now, we are not.

In dreams ... maybe.

Reality tells me that I am alone.

A text message away,

but still ... away.

Bring me closer,

hold me tight.

Please.

Don't let me go,

ever.

Because within that millisecond

when your hand leaves mine,

your touch vanishes,

I am, again,

away.

And we are, again,

alone.

I like the phonetic approach --

"I Heartchew"

It adds a bit of seasoning to the tone of the piece.
