psukhe soufflé

A Poem by Marc Mccune

psukhe soufflé

what is it?
I know what I used to believe.
who?
in the left side in the back of my brain,
maybe in my mind.
couldn't be my soul?
the still small voice...

tells me, don't say that,
please don't write that
just wait.
in patience possess ye your soul
otherwise you will regret it.

I listen,
though I want to shout
and spill these thoughts and emotions
though I want to vindicate myself;
but that, only in an effort to understand
the answers which I lack.

Shhh...wait
the words remain only mine
listen
