what would it be?

what would it be?

A Poem by Marc Mccune
"

regrets, wishes, what if

"
if you could have anything
the one thing that eludes you,
to give complete happiness
what would it be?

if you could relive,
those first times
the ones that made you breathless
made you intone "so that's what it's like!"
what would be?

and were they worth it?

if you could trade the experience
and go back for a do over
what would it be?

If you could have
the thing that you know
is far out of your reach
the life that would make you happy
but can't be yours
what would it be?
