looking for nuggets of gold among other people's cast offs

I prowl yard sales and garage sales

looking for the title of some book

to jump out at me.

 

At estate sales, where people sort

through other people's treasures

glancing at what was once deemed important

perhaps to find an answer to my questions.

 

I search through other people's cast offs

looking for nuggets to fill

my thirst for knowledge

tomes to place in my literary home.
