*~2~*A Chapter by Michelle Raye"I think dreaming was making him crazier in this world..."Everything falls together. Everything connects like puzzle pieces. Aaron was just one piece to the puzzle of my life. And until death, I'll never know how Aaron fit into the big picture of my life. Because at the moment I met him, I bagan to wonder what the picture really was. Aaron didn't mention much about himself. Not his age, not his likes and dislikes, and not who his friends were. Then again, I never asked. I probably should have... Giggles from the back of the auditorium caught my attention. It sounded like a little girl's giggle. Aaron heard it too and snapped out of the thought trance he was in. He growned. "I thought I was supposed to get the stage today..." He muttered glaring back. I suddenly saw a jacket thrown out of one of the aisles and then another one. More giggles erupted. "Stop!~ Stop!~" The female voice squealed in absolute delight. I felt my cheeks grow hot... What had I just walked into? "Nuh uh!" I heard Aaron shout. Startled I looked at him then back to where the sounds were. "Not in MY auditorium!" He glared. "This is a sacred place to me! Not a place for you two to get naughty!" I blushed even more. Thoughts and images filling my head. Something I wanted out of my mind... Thoughts of stuff I never wanted to see until marriage... "Hm?" I heard the girl say. She poked her head out from behind a chair and looked at us. Her partner in crime looked up too. "Did you say something?" "Yeah!" Aaron growled. "You are NOT doing that in here!" She giggled sweetly. "Doing what? We weren't doing anything." The boy next to her grinned and chuckled. "Yet." He muttered. Aaron's face got red. But nowhere near as red as mine was. And right then, I looked like a tomato... "We agreed that the auditorium would be mine Monday, Wednesday, and part of Friday!" He yelled. The couple grinned mischevieously. "Well, Matt said," The girl began before lowering her voice to a deeper pitch, "'As long as we're quiet, Dreamer Boy will never notice us have a little fun.'" She giggled sweetly. "And my plan would have worked," The boy named Matt smiled. His dark hair covered one eye but I could feel both eyes stare at me and Aaron. "If not for Mary's squeals." I tried to get to the door. I back up towards it very slowly. It's bad enough I just got mixed up with a boy who yells at an invisible stage crew. I don't want to get mixed up in a war bwteen Mr. Crazy Flakes and the PDA Couple who's definition of PDA isn't quite what everyone else considers it to be. I touched a wall. I felt behind for a knob. Or a handle. Or something. Wait. Wasn't the door open? I had to get out of there... Mary suddenly grew still. "Oh no." She whispered. She turned to me. "Are you who I think you are?" She asked me. "I, uh..." I continued to search blindly for the door. "Are you... The new girl?" A grin spred across her face and she hopped out from her and her lover's hiding place. I Could see the brunette much clearly now and her equally brown eyes stared me down. A Grin revealed perfectly white teeth. "OOH!" She pounced like an animal! I felt two small arms wrap around me and drag me to the ground. "Ah!!" I yelped. "O! M! G! You are so totally cute!" She yelled. "Like, oh, my god! Who does your hair? Where did you get that red streak? Is it real or fake? Did you get it done at Cold Subject? Are you going there today? Did you know they're doing this totally wicked sale today? But it doesn't start 'till three. Wanna go with me? Matt can't go! He's got work! So do you? Do you? Huh? Huh? Huh?" She spoke so fast... In total shock I lay silent, my eyes opened wide. "Uhh..." Was all I managed to get out. "Now, now, my petit chou chou." Matt coaxed pulling her off of me. "Calm yourself. Even I have trouble sometimes understanding you when you go in hyper mode. I'm sure she has no idea what you're saying." He smiled softly at her. I sat up feeling dizzy. "Uh..." I blinked and looked up at them. "Pardon her, ami." He said. "My name is Michelle. Not Ami." I told him. He laughed. "'Ami' is French. It means 'friend'" He said. "You are a friend, aren't you? This school needs less hate and suffering. We don't need another 'ennemi'." He said. From his dark appearence he looked like someone who would scoff at a comment like that. He wore all black with his dark hair covering his face. His eyes were as brown as Mary's but they didn't have her hyperactive sparkle. "I'm a friend... I guess..." I said. And Mary squealed and clapped. "A brand new best friend! And she's a girl! Not like any of Matt's guy friends! No offense, sweetheart!" She said clinging onto what looked like the Prince of Darkness While Matt replied to her comment, I noticed Aaron. He was sitting at the far end of the stage, his arms folded across his chest. He was pouting! He looked like a child. I passed Matt and Mary and walked over to him. They stopped conversing and watched me. "You know," I said looking at him. "You can join us over here. You don't need to sit all by yourself." He pouted even more. "Why join? I'd be talking to people who were about to desecrate my sanctuary." "Stop acting like a baby." I smiled. "Matt and Mary weren't trying to make your sanctuary... Not sacred." I said choosing my words carefully. "After all, love is sacred." I laughed a little. He stared at me for a minute. His pout didn't get smaller right away. But when he looked down and sighed I saw a very small smile. "I suppose you're right. Love is sacred." He hopped off the stage and walked up to Matt and Mary. "I'm Aaron. Aaron Shupe. The famous Aaron Shupe." He grinned. "I'm Mary!" "I'm Matt." He winked and grinned. "The soon-to-be famous Mary and Matt!" And that is how I met three important people to the puzzle of my life. But they aren't the only ones. And this story isn't ending just yet... © 2009 Michelle RayeAuthor's Note
