Cease to exist...

Cease to exist...

A Poem by Matt Fellows

A laugh from a prior moment,

The blurring sight of a boarded up door,

A window wide open smothered by a curtain pouring out to the wind,

A sigh underwater allows no breath to be taken,

Grab the tumbleweed by the thorns whilst the leaves kiss my head goodbye,

Compromise of an overstated threat,

Jump from the step onto the altered mind,

The run of a masked betrayer,

Why did you stop?

Was it growth or was the distance farther?

The vents never listened and the wind never ceased that curtain,

I don’t want this anymore,

Take it from my shoulders,

Take it from my nights.
