A Lady...

A Lady...

A Poem by Matt Fellows

Retired to arms upon branches,

Cover me in a world rendered a charismatic blue,

The crown dropped over my eyes,

I knew you were never divided,

Swindled of the dew on the petals as I climb the root,

Sincerity of oneself and say more than one a day,

Hold out the apple in outstretched valour,

The mind wants to feed but other mouths came first,

Does the plant need an overcrowded city?

I know I need the blooms,

A lady.
