For Ruth...

For Ruth...

A Poem by Matt Fellows

An ark where she sings into the eye of your storms,

A message from her pages as she stood before the fixated,

Her final scene and as she bowed the audience bowed lower,

A shelter from the dreary drizzle of life,

It was more than fluff,

Her intentions grander than the ground trodden prior,

She never grew tired of the fight,

A conqueror took from the arms of the world we created from the sound up,

The curtain closed but it was never the end,

She took away hurt and it’s only been back since she’s gone,

Shining wisdom always passed her lips,

I’m proud and the ark sails to reach the far and wide.
