Saturated With Memories...

Saturated With Memories...

A Poem by Matt Fellows

Can I walk down your alley?

Or would you seat a rusted pike on both of my shoulders?

Ready to fetch the eye of your spoiled wife,

But it’s not fetching is it?

Your intentions to turn your white collar into red shoulders upon me,

My infuriation was no match for yours,

Yours concocted with infatuation,

Outstretched poles under my knees whilst I dream amongst the trees,

Yet no windows here for prying eyes to gander at a portal of what I thought was my shame,

Is it a constant weight upon you or do you sometimes forget?

I assure you the stagnancy is sitting firmly in my mind,

I thought I could forgive,

Saturated with memories and feelings that scorn have never really left.
