Nails to plaster…

Nails to plaster…

A Poem by Matt Fellows

The afternoon sun kissed my brow,

Almost to tell me that it’d be ok,

I’d find my way home even though I was unlettered,

Our split minds pushed you away,

You painted your neck with braided hawser,

I’d never been edified faster,

The downpour never cleansed me of my distress,

You spent your days dragging your nails across the plaster,

It wasn’t what took you though.
