This Is Not That Time

Putting my feelings aside for someone else.

These emotions elude me
I wish they would cease to tease
They behave like a poison or potions
And I give way to acting in ways that are less than righteous
I'm so ashamed
Please forgive me of my sins
I don't want to see you break another day
It's just that it feels like there's always going to be something in our way
and our day will never come

I'm waiting
Still waiting
I've baited for it
But I say to myself:
This is not that time
