Fall From GraceA Poem by MockingjayCome with me to where I dwell, a place that I know very well. Take my hand don’t be afraid, I will show you where hell is made. Hear my cries and hear my call, hear the error of my fall. I’ll stop time so you can breathe, trap you where there is no key. Leave you hanging in the place, you ridiculed me to my face, where I met you and you met me, I’ll show you how cruel I can be. I don’t fear and I don’t hear, I’ll let you rot inside a tear. You can’t run and you can’t hide, I plan to kill you from inside. I cry tears of sorrow and of hurt, you offend me with your dirt, backstab me when I can’t see, tell me lies and bury me. In hate and lunacy I’m reborn; see what a soul feels like to be torn? With hate I stand because in your face, I see the angels fall from grace. And when you hear a lullaby, your baby boy will start to cry. No innocents will live in hate; I’ve taken them all to the devils gate. Here I burn what’s pure and good, ridiculed and misunderstood. One smile for one moment that we stand apart, till I open my arms and let you rip out my heart. Now I’m corrected and now I’m whole, without my heart you can’t touch my soul. The hate you spawned won’t be relenting, your life without me never-ending. So close your eyes and come with me, this is my world and reality. July 2007 © 2012 MockingjayReviews
