Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes

A Poem by d.lynise

I don't know who I am anymore.
Or who I want to be.
All of this misdirection has clouded the air.
And I can't begin to see
Where I'm going,
Where I am.

Pains in my heart.
As if it's being stretched across the universe.
My soul screams with confusion and incertainty.
Torment in every verse.
I feel like my body's been taken over,
Growing colder,
With the pangs of a past life.

Like a phoenix, I'm burning,
Constantly yearning,
For who I am meant to be,
To come into me, turning,
Everything I've ever dreamed into reality,
And save me, from my spiraling.
