J.stoner

A Poem by d.lynise

I'm begging for your attention,
But you won't listen.
I can't keep pretending I want to be here,
Because things have changed.
I'm growing up,
You're staying the same.
What you say's not what you mean,
Baby, what happened to 'we' the 'team'.
I feel like it's just you vs. me.
Me speaking, you listening but not hearing.
I can't stand him, but he's loyal.
He's the other half I want so badly for you to be.
But you refuse to see,
To hear me scream.

Watching me,
Crying,
Hurting,
All you seem to do is walk away when I need you most.
Well I need you all the time,
So what does that tell you?
I can't find a way
To get through to you.
I can't figure out if you don't care,
Or if you're just that ignorant
To what I need,
What I'm longing for.

Go ahead, Keep doing what you do.
Pretty soon,
Within time,
I'll gain the balls I need to do what I need to.
And I hope you don't miss me,
Because I'm slowly starting to hate
Everything you are.
