The house where I never feel at home in (poem)

This is dark and deep...

I'm scared

I'm helpless

I need someone by my side,

so they can listen to me

and hear all about the fights and taunts

I witness almost everyday in my house;

the house where I never feel at home in

How my parents voices raise;

raise higher than the waves of

the ocean

and I want it to stop

so we all can live 

peacefully 

But, it never does

no matter how far I run away

the voices always reach to me

and drag me down with them

I still try and try to be happy

but deep down inside, I'm shattered, 

lost and afraid

Very tragic and heartbreaking. Sad to think a lot of kids have to deal with this kind of stuff in their homes. Parents don't think about the effect fighting with one another can have on their children, its a really sad thing to think about.

It is a very sad poem. I relate to that with my parents as it was before i emancipated from them... The home didn't feel like one at all. I was always different in their eyes even if they'd never say it. I just never belonged.
