Downfall (Poem)

Pouring out emotions...

Left alone, stranded

to be broken apart

and have no hope left

Thoughts kept to self

ego and soul all dead

nothing left inside

Laughs and smiles

so hard and difficult

knowing they're all fake

Having a downfall

heart buried within

deeper than the ocean

Love once shown

and returned to

but fake love it was

Sun fading away

clouds fading in

no light to be seen

The world

being a maze

showing no escape

Personal space

no more a thing

all secrets kept from self

Life has a cynical edge to it, everything seems to be a challenge to test the strength of our resolve. The simple things in life are made complicated by illusions of life. An example is love, it happens naturally with no effort at all before we suffer life's lessons to misdirect us. Your poem captures this and displays it perfectly, well done my friend Clap! Clap!
