Love was... (Poem)

Love was... (Poem)

A Poem by Mr.Writer
"

Love

"
Love was what happened to me
It gave some hope;
but then shattered it

Love was what tore me apart
Showing two reflections of myself;
but one only being true

Love was what gave me happiness;
until one day, took all of it away
And left despair in me

Love was my guidance;
until it guided me to the wrong path
And blocked me from all ways

Love is now nothing to me;
and will stay like that;
until I find it again

There was a time when I felt love would never find me again but it did and I couldn't be happier. I hope the same for you too, My Writer. Wonderfully written.

I agree, love isn't always easy
Love is like a precious flower that comes to bloom from a tiny bud. It opens up and brightens the sky and all around it. Love must be nourished. It must receive its share of sunlight and yes even, most especially rainfall. I very much like your poem.

Thank you :)
Two sides have every coin,
no guarantees that love
will keep on growin'.

Plant all your hopes
on love's fertile slopes.

Whatever will be the crop,
when in-love we cannot stop.

Love may come to us in Paradise,
ending broken on some distant shore.

Mr. Writer,
You've touched upon something most all can surely relate to in a deeply abiding way; yet, few (if any) can adequately explain, ending it with the greatest truth of all, that we cannot do without it, and will seek it until it finds us.

A very wise, genuine, and knowing work, My Friend … thankful kudos to you! ⁓ Richard : )

Awwwwww. Love begins with you...First it's a tiny spark in your soul, then becomes a roaring flame! The more you give, the more you receive!
Just don't forget, it begins inside you.

Thank you!
The crying emotion that never really decides what it needs from us - love - without it we crumble, well done, good read.
