Searching (Poem)

Searching for ideas!

I've been stressing myself out for an idea to write about

I've been walking for hours outside during the sunrise and sunset, hoping it pops out

Always riding on the swings at the park while smoking for no reason

A disturbing feeling inside of me like I've committed treason

I never knew how it would feel to not have an idea in my head

It's just that I've always had one and not having to crazily lay in bed 

If this sounds dumb and weird, I'm sorry

I didn't expect it to be cool and adventurous like the safari

But all this time it didn't occur to me that poetry is about spilling ones emotions and thoughts

Not ruining the fun by planning beforehand like it's going to be a plot

So here I am... pouring my heart out to you 

Because it's something that I'm starting to do

Ha! Poetry is definitely a headache. Not all box of chocolates. It is actually more than just feelings and emotions. It is an art. It deserves to be studied. It deserved great respect from people who read it. It is life. It is life of the person who wrote it. It is continuous learning.

If you want to have a calm mind who does not want to search for more then you are not looking for poetry because an unsettled mind and heart is what poetry is all about. ;)

If you want something to accompany your searching then I must say study more. Learn a lot of styles about poetry. Learn about more poets. Read more books about poetry and then you'll find the answer. :)

Well, let me tell you.. Poetry isn't always about writing out your heart or emotions.. I've rarely ever done that lol 😛 but it really is about how you place your words for the reader to feel and it's not necessary for the piece to be real.. But yes it's about inspirations 😉😊
Btw.. I'll add this too : if you strain your brain to search for an idea it would hardly come..just let your heart and mind run free and wild 😛😉

Haha, that's cool. Nothing to write about? Well then, here you are! A poem about my feelings today! Quite witty of poets to write down their feelings in a poetic manner when their mind is as empty as one's mind during exam. Well written this one. This is also relatable to an extent. This is a true thing that's happening in my life...
[ except the ciggarette part ;) ]
I haven't spilled my emotions that often in poetry and have planned it more. But now, I'm actually going to be using my emotions and thoughts and am going to write poems/stories based on them
