Welcome (Poem)

Welcome (Poem)

A Poem by Mr.Writer

My hearts pounding
My hands are trembling
White light beams right at my face, forcing me to continuously twitch
I try to move but the searing pain in my stomach stops me
I take deep breaths, but they aren`t deep enough
It`s as if I`m in a ocean, struggling to swim and stay alive.
I groan as a scalpel cuts right through my stomach
Please kill me...
My finger nails cut through the bed-sheets
Sweat drenches the whole bed
Soon, a tiny baby comes out
He wails and wails!
I sigh in relief, as I finally pass the difficult part
As soon as he stops wailing, his marble eyes look at me.
They`re as delicate as a diamond
I pass a kiss on his cheek
``Welcome baby Ahmed, my radiant and celestial child.``

Oh my God! this literally made my jaw drop ! Oh dear... i was consumed by this poem... I din't expect it to be so beautiful... atleast not at all related to a mother...... The words are so apt.. The flow of poem is amazing... It intrigued me to read further and does build up a suspense... I don't know if i am correct in saying this but till how much ever i have read , This is your best work and definitely going in my library.... Hats off.... I don't have more adjectives to praise this work... Simply KUDOS!

You portrayed this really well. There is no end to how a mother bears the pain and loves her child.
Nicely penned :)
